The Internet Connectivity Evaluation Tool checks your Internet router to see if it supports certain technologies.

Start menu >All Programs > Accessories > right-click Command Prompt and choose “Run as Administrator”.

  • To check the current status: netsh int tcp show global
  • netsh int tcp set global chimney=enabled
  • netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
  • netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=enable
  • netsh int tcp set global dca=enable
  • netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=ctcp
  • netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled (or enable)

regedit: Export (Tcpip-ServiceProvider.old.reg)

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip \ ServiceProvider
  • LocalPriority=4 DWORD, recommended: 4 – local names cache
  • HostsPriority=5 DWORD, recommended: 5 – the HOSTS file
  • DnsPriority=6 DWORD, recommended: 6 – DNS
  • NetbtPriority=7 DWORD, recommended: 7 – NetBT
